Montez Bailey March 8, 1988 - May 27, 2009 SALEM - Montez was born in Portland, Oregon on March 8, 1988. He was the youngest of 8 children of the parents Gilbert and Kathy Bailey. Montez lived in Salem most of his life. Montez graduated from Chemeketa Community College GED program, he was working on his Associate degree for Zoology, and he was very active in the community doing volunteer work. Montez loved dogs, kids and his family. He also loved to travel and his family vacations were the highlights of his life. Montez is survived by his parents, Gilbert and Kathy Bailey; Bio mother, Cheree Bailey; 6 brothers, Antwan, George, Ardell, Craig, Freddie and Anthony Bailey, all of Salem; and 1 sister, Kametria Bailey of Salem; grandmother, Ceucita White; great-grandmother, Dr. Jeri Williams both of Salem; and a host of foster brothers, Aunts, Uncle, Nieces, Nephew, Cousins and Friends. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at City View Funeral Home. Services for Montez will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009 at First Baptist Church, 395 Marion St. N., Salem, Ore. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Funeral Home.
