ADRIAN — Leland Chris Burns, 90, formerly of Adrian, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega with David Bonnell, pastor of Adrian United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Vega.

Mr. Burns was born Sept. 24, 1922, in Inola, Okla., to A.P. and Beulah Burns. He married Irma Brothers on Aug. 25, 1945, in San Angelo. She preceded him in death in 1985. He then married Mary Collie in 1986. She preceded him in death in 2009. He was a Methodist and a farmer.

He also was preceded in death by three sisters, Grace, Carol and Lorraine.

Survivors include a son, Chris Burns Jr. and wife Marty of Adrian; two daughters, Vicki Brown of Dallas and Marsha Grantz and husband Arthur of Palo Alto, Calif.; a sister, Donna Brooks of Big Cabin, Okla.; a brother, Paul Burns of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or Adrian United Methodist Church, Adrian, TX 79001.
