Services for retired state District Judge Wallace C. ""Pete" Moore will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Christopher Episcopal Church, 1656 Blalock, with burial in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway.

Moore, 73, died late Wednesday of a heart attack.

He held county and district criminal court benches here from 1962 to 1982 and served as a visiting judge until ill health forced him from the bench last year.

A decorated combat pilot in World War II and Korea, he became a prosecutor in 1954 and was named first assistant by then-District Attorney Dan Walton in 1959.

Moore leaves his wife, Shirley, and daughter Jan Wyse, both of Houston. A son, Eric, died in 1981.
