Steven E. Lloyd 44, of Morse Street, Troy, NH, died Monday, October 3, 2011 at the UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, Mass., following a sudden illness.
He was born in Keene, NH, October 2, 1967, the son of Texas B. and Shirley A. (Cummings) Lloyd. He grew up in Keene and was a 1986 graduate of Keene High School. He resided in Troy for the past 19 years.
At the time of his death, Mr. Lloyd was a supervisor with Teleflex Medical Inc. of Jaffrey, NH where he worked for the past 25 years. He was a member of the John Humiston American Legion Post 11 of Jaffrey.
Steven enjoyed motorcycling, dirt bike riding, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling and "jeeping" in the jeep he rebuilt. He also enjoyed camping and fishing. He was considered a "jack-of-all-trades" who enjoyed working with his hands in building things and completing landscaping projects. He was always looking to help others, putting their needs before his. He was a friend and helper to many. Steven's joy in life was his wife, his 2 boys, and his extended family. He especially loved to entertain and celebrate family events.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jodi L. (Jakubowicz) Lloyd of Troy, two sons, Cullen Steven Lloyd and Carson James Lloyd of Troy, his parents, Tex and Shirley Lloyd of Keene, two brothers, Brian A. Lloyd and his wife, Tammy, of Rindge, NH, Phillip W. Lloyd of Keene, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda and Michael Jakubowicz of Troy, sisters-in-law, Shari L. Bemis and her husband, Darrin, of Swanzey, NH, Michelle L. Anderson and her husband, Jason, of Surry, NH, his nieces and nephews, Jenna L. Bemis, Bailey G. Anderson, William Lloyd, Nicholas Lloyd, Breana Lloyd, Spencer Lloyd, his great-nieces and great-nephews, Anita Lloyd, Ava Lloyd, Aidan Lloyd, Braden Lloyd, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and his many friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, October 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM in St. Margaret Mary Church, 33 Arch Street, Keene, NH. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Route 12, Troy, NH. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene.
The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mr. Lloyd's memory to the Cullen and Carson Lloyd Trust Fund, c/o TD Bank, 15 Central Square, Troy, NH 03465.
