In memory of Barry James Higginbotham, 02/20/1945 - 11/04/2012

Barry James Higginbotham, 67, of Ft. Oglethorpe, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2012 in a local health care facility.

He was a native and lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and north Georgia areas and was employed by Southern Paper Company for many years and most recently was employed as a manager with Hardee's. Mr. Higginbotham was a member of the East Ridge Masonic Lodge #755 F&AM, served as president of the residents council of NHC, was of the Baptist faith, and an avid Tennessee Vols fan.

His parents, Jim Henry & Estella Gaddis Higginbotham, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughters, Theresa (Mark) Schonhar of Easley, SC, and Cindy Hughes of Ft. Oglethorpe; sister, Patricia (Gene) Christian of East Ridge; grandchildren, Drew, Megan, & Josh Schonhar, Dylan & Gabrielle Hughes; nephew, John Higginbotham; two great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
