Aged 19.
Son of Edward George Chick and Elizabeth Brown Chick, of Martinstown, Dorsetshire, England.


He was probably on board SS Arandora Star, which was carrying a crew of 375 British crew and military guards, almost 500 German and 712 Italian prisoners of war/internees to Canada, when it was sunk by U-47.
Over 800 died in the sinking.
