John B. Hintermeister, 82, died at noon today at his home; 1001 Grandview avenue, of complications attending advanced age, following an illness of five weeks.
Born Aug. 1, 1856, in Muscatine, Mr. Hintermeister had been a resident of this city his entire life. He married Miss Julia Nevins in Muscatine on Oct. 22, 1886.
Survivors include the widow; three sons, Fred, Clarence and Delmar; three daughters, Mrs. Esther Zeahringer, Mrs. Freda Reddick, and Mrs. Leona McNall; a brother, George, all of Muscatine; 20 grandchildren and, seven great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral home. Funeral arrangements are indefinite.
