YORKTOWN--Louise H. Reynolds, 94, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Waters of Yorktown following an extended illness.

She was born October 6, 1918 in Hebron, IN, the daughter of Howard and Adele (Humeau) Shinkle, graduated from Porter Township High School in 1936 and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University. Louise taught for over 40 years at various schools including, Cowan, Farmland, Muncie, McKinley Elementary and Claypool until she retired in 1979. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Delaware County Retired Teachers Association, Indiana State Retired Teachers Association, the National Education Association and attended Friends Memorial Church.

Her survivors include several nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Ruth Hodson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Reynolds in 2000; one brother, Paul Shinkle; one sister, Jane Fitch; and one brother-in-law, Frank Fitch.

Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Bill Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in Tomlinson Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m until the time of services on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.

Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
