Daughter of John Jameson & Susan A. Harris Jameson.

Miss Jameson died suddenly only two weeks before the day she was to marry Richard Reid of Montgomery County, Kentucky. Ten years after her death Reid married her sister, Elizabeth Jameson Rogers.

From "Judge Richard Reid, A Biography" by Elizabeth Jameson Reid, 1886:

In the eraly winter of 1861, [Reid] formed the acquaintance of Miss Sarah T. Jameson, a young lady of rich natural endowments, high culture, rare personal beauty, grace and dignity; sparkling, witty, cheerful, with dimpled cheeks and lustrous brown eyes. The acquaintance grew rapidly into love that soon ripened into an engagement. Life was now all bloom and beauty for these young hearts who knew no distrust....

But upon the prospects of the young lovers a storm burst that darkened all the land and deluged a continent in blood.... Within every home there were battles fought and hearts left desolate, of which the historian can give no record. The family [was] divided politically during the war.
