Freeport - Lucretia Buxton Powers, 77, of Lower Mast landing Road, died Monday in a Portland hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Portland, daughter of Warren and Elizabeth (Baker) Laughton. She lived most of her life in Cumberland.
Mrs. Powers was a former member of the Pythian Sisters in Kennebunk. Her first husband, Wilbur Buxton died in 1962. She later married Ernest Powers who died in 1970.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday at the Lindquist Funeral Home, 123 Main St., followed by interment in the Methodist Cemetery in West Cumberland.
