A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at Wayne Memorial Park. Family members will greet friends Wednesday evening following the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her daughter, Betty Martin, 216 Coral Drive, Dudley, NC.
Mrs. Gwaltney is survived by her sons, Javy and Eva Gwaltney of Sylvester, GA, Andy and Sherry Gwaltney of Pinehurst, NC; daughters, Betty R. Martin of Dudley, NC, Joyce and Garland Hardison of Plymouth, NC, Dean and Thomas Price of Dudley, NC, Nancy and Byron Dunn of Dalton, GA; a special niece, Delores and Manfred Hood of Grantham, NC; sister, Amy Daughtry of Goldsboro, NC; a brother Earl and Marie Herring of Goldsboro, NC; thirty-four grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and one great great great-grandchild.
