Obituary of Mrs. Albertina Heintz

Mrs. Albertina Heintz, daughter of August Koerwitz and his wife, Ernestine, nee Kietzke, was born on January 10, 1878, in Janiko near Dramburg in the Province Pommerania, Germany. At this place she was translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God through holy baptism in early infancy, and after due instruction in the Christian religion she renewed her baptismal vow in the rite of confirmation.

At the age of about 16 years she came to America with her parents and resided on a farm near Deshler. Later she went t Minnesota, where she was united in marriage with Mr. Harry Heintz in November of the year 1900. To this union was born one son.

Her husband being employed in the grain elevator business caused them to reside in various towns and cities, especially in Nebraska. The last place of employment was at Doniphan, from where they moved to Marquette, Nebr, in 1931, where they remained until Mr. Heintz passed away in January of last year.

Mrs. Heintz was afflicted with serious ailments for the past few years and was taken to a hospital. However, the end of her sojourn on earth was at hand and our gracious God, the Lord of life and death, took her home on last Wednesday evening at about seven o'clock. This brought her age to 71 years, 1 month, and 13 days.

She leaves to mourn: One son, Norman Heintz, of Los Angeles, Cal.; two brothers, Gustav Koerwitz of Deshler, Ernest Koerwitz of Hastings; four sisters, Mrs. Amelia Vienop and Mrs. Martha Degner of Deshler, and Mrs. Meta Kline and Mrs. Mathilda Nehring of Los Angeles, Cal.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at St. Peter's Lutheran CHurch. Pastor H.F. Krohn officiated. He based his words of comfort on Matt. 17,8. Mrs. R. W. Rodenburg sang "I'm But A Stranger Here, and the school children sang Let Me Go." Interment was made in the city cemetery.
