1st wife of Stanford G. Clingman. Daughter of Thomas Clarence Reynolds and Flossie Myrtle Haner

Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, June 14, 1934

Mrs. Stanford Clingman died at the home of her husband's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Clingman, near Newbern, on Saturday, June 9, 1934, at the age of 22 years, 3 months and 1 day, after an illness of but a few days with scarlet fever.

A brief service was held at the grave in the New York cemetery on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Alva Logston, of Osceola.

Wanda Lee Reynolds, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Reynolds, was born near Russell, Iowa, on February 8, 1912. She grew to womanhood near Bethlehem and in December, 1933, was united in marriage to Stanford Clingman. They had since resided at the parental Clingman home near Newbern.

During her brief illness she bore her suffering with great patience. She was a kind and devoted wife and daughter, loved by all who knew her, and was always willing and ready to aid those in need or distress.

Besides her grief stricken young husband she is survived by her parents and by two brothers, Waldo and Wayne, and three sisters, Wilda, Wortha and Wreatha Reynolds of Bethlehem, and many other relatives and friends.
