Born February 12, 1930 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late James V. and Nellie Mae (Detwiler) Hampson.
Jerry was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Past Master of Pleasant Valley Lodge # 531, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus and Aladdin Shrine, Past Captain Aladdin Shrine Patrol, Aladdin Shrine Ambassador's Club, Royal Order of Jester Court # 8, Tarhe Shrine Past Exalter Ruler, B.O.P.E., Tarhe Eastern Star. He worked for the State of Ohio Humam Services and Fairfield County Sheriffs Department.
Survived by wife of 62 years, Nadine Hampson; sons, Michael and Lina Hampson, Patrick and Deborah Hampson, Timothy and Monica Hampson; daughter-in-law, Pamela Hampson; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Hampsom; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, J. Jay Hampson, brother, Jim Hampson.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Cheryl Foulk officiating. Burial will be at Hampson Cemetery, Pleasantville, Ohio.
Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m on Tuesday at the funeral home with Masonic services by Pleasant Valley Lodge # 531 at 7:30 p.m..
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory to Aladdin Shrine Center for crippled children, 3850 Stelzer Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219-3044.
