Mrs. Diane E. Robinson of Mohawk, age 83, passed away, peacefully after a short illness, on Monday morning, January 1, 2018, in Faxton-St. Luke's Medical Center, New Hartford.

She was born September 12, 1934 in Muskegon, MI, daughter of the late McClellan C. and Maxine Elliott Baughman. Diane was raised in North Muskegon and graduated from high school there. On November 24, 1951, she was united in marriage to Alba L. Robinson in Muskegon. They shared a loving and devoted union of fifty years until his passing on December 20, 2001. In 1958 they came from Muskegon to Mohawk to join in the family business, Robinson Brothers Appliance Store on West Main Street. Together they eventually owned and operated the business. With her family, Mrs. Robinson was active in the business until this past year. To all who knew her, she was a woman who was always on the go. In her leisure time, she loved to shop, attend sporting events with her children and grandchildren, do jigsaw puzzles, sit in her rocking chair watching over Mohawk and spend time at the family camp at Hinckley Lake. In her earlier years, she and her husband loved to participate, follow and support the Mohawk Volunteer Fire Department Firematics. She was a generous lady and found much joy in giving. Diane was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, especially her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.

Surviving her are two sons and their wives, Kim and Cheryl Robinson, of Ilion and Alba M. and Rachael Robinson, of Denver, NC; three daughters, Brooke Bellinger and her companion, Grant Rinehimer, of Johnstown, Lynne and Chris Shoemaker, of York, SC and Stacey and Mark Holleran, of Mohawk. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, each one her "favorite", Brett and Kristen Bellinger, Blake Bellinger, Brianne Veneris and boyfriend, Jim Robinette, Kara Robinson and her companion, Matt Lipka, Travis and Megan Robinson, Cory and Eric Meckler, Kayla Shoemaker and companion, Gurkan Ozkan, Matthew Holleran and companion, Robyn Johannssen, Holly and Marlee Holleran, Alexander, Dominic, Evan and Alba Jacob Robinson; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley and Benjamin Bellinger and Jax and Knox Robinson; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a very special friend, Debbie Durham. Besides her parents and husband, Alba, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Norwood and Carl Baughman.

Calling hours for Mrs. Robinson will be on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street, Herkimer. A funeral service will follow immediately after at 2:00 PM in the funeral home. The Reverend Brian Engel, Pastor of the Mohawk Reformed Church will officiate. Interment will take place, later this spring, in Mohawk Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial donations to The MS Society of Upstate New York Chapter, 1000 Elmwood Ave, Ste. 900, Rochester, NY 14620.
