Jimmy Fairchild Jr., 74, a retired farmer, formerly of Magee, died at Covington County Hospital in Collins on March 17, 2003. He was of the Baptist faith.
Graveside services were conducted at Sharon Presbyterian Cemetery in Magee on March 19.
His is survived by his wife, Willie M. Fairchild; sons, Jimmy Ray Fairchild of Panama and John Lish Graves of Collins; daughters, Nancy Bryant of Magee, Kate Cole of Collins and Cynithia Lynn Abercrombie of Mingo Junction, Ohio; a brother, Earl Fairchild of Magee; two sisters, Katie Nell Myers and Louise Little, both of Magee; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Zeria Fairchild; a daughter, Margaret Ann Higgins; and two brothers, Jerry Fairchild and Truitt Fairchild.
