William Mike "Bud" Sturm, 72, of Life Care Center of Greeneville, died Wednesday evening at the center.

He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

Mr. Sturm was the widower of Edith Sturm.

Survivors include two daughters: Patricia Sturm of Del Rio and Evelyn Torrie of Greeneville; four sons: Mike Sturm of Chattanooga, Gary Sturm of Chuckey, Ricky Sturm of Jonesborough, and Bryan Sturm of Greeneville; 10 grandchildren; a sister: Iritta Headrick of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a son of the late Mike and Annis Sturm, and was preceded in death by two sisters: Leona Devotie and Evelyn Sturm.

The family will receive friends from 2:30-4:30 and 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 Saturday morning at First Church of the Nazarene with interment in River Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Stephen Rutherford will officiate.

The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.

Veterans of Foreign Wars, Andrew Johnson Post #1990, will conduct a military graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Jackson Starnes, Bobby Southerland, Jay Southerland, Richard Gosnell, Jonathan Rutherford, and Ray Becker.
