Hannah Belle Braner, daughter of Simon
(1838 - 1913) and Elizabeth Braner (1842
- 1914) , was born February 17, 1867 at
Concord, Morgan Co. Illinois and was
claimed by death March 17,1959 at the
Green Lawn Rest Home Frankfort, Kansas
at the age of 92 years and one month.

On January 15, 1889 she was united in
marriage to John F. Ratliff and they establ-
ished their home on a farm near Jackson-
ville, Illinois. In march 1906 they moved
to Marshall County Kansas, where they
lived until the time of their deaths.

She was preceded in death by her husband,
John; and three daughters, Mrs. Rhoda
Mackey, Mrs. Ruth Feldhausen, and Mrs.
Anna Dotson; two sisters and three brothers.

Surviving her are sons, John W. Ratliff,
Lincoln, Nebraska, and Ellis Ratliff, of
Jacksonville, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs.
Jessie Lyman and Mrs. Nellie Morton,
both of Frankfort, Kansas; one sister, Mrs.
Laura Thorndike, Chapin, Illinois; 12 grand-
children; 24 great-grandchildren and four
great-great-grandchildren, several nieces,
and nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday,
March 19, 1959 at the Methodist Church
with Reverend W.E. Van Patten officiating.

Pallbearers were Morse, George, Archie and
Harry Feldhausen, Alva and Clyde Teagarden.
