Curtis Lee Robinson, 59, passed away peacefully at his home on November 3, 2012, after a courageous two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Los Angeles, California, on July 11, 1953, to Dwight Day Robinson and Macie Jane Merritt Robinson. Curt grew up in Springfield, Missouri. After graduating high school in 1971, Curt became a sales professional and business owner. He later married Michelle Macias and they had three children together before divorcing.

Mutual friends introduced Curt to the love of his life, Sue Noakes, in 1998, and after eight blissful years together, they married on July 1, 2006. They honeymooned in their favorite spot, Las Vegas, before moving to California where Curt often expressed the feeling of "coming home." In 2008, they moved to Boise, Idaho, where Curt spent many hours enjoying the lush scenery and majestic mountain landscapes.

Curt loved traveling, painting, smooth jazz, Sleepless in Seattle, drinking Merlot, playing poker and the company of friends and family; but most of all, he loved his children, grandchildren and his beloved Sue.

Curt was known by those around him for his kind and gentle heart, his witty and tireless sense of humor, and his quiet, unobtrusive way of putting the needs and wishes of others above his own. He loved life so much that his final battle defied the medical odds and was a source of constant amazement and inspiration to family, friends and even the health care professionals who witnessed it.

Curt is survived by his wife, Sue Robinson; children: Melinda (Josh) Peck, Meredith Robinson and Nick Robinson; grandchildren: Caleb Peck, Ethan Dalton, Presley Peck, Taytum Goss and Huxley Goss; brother, Ellis Dee (Jeanne) Robinson; other relatives and many close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Martha Glee Robinson.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute and St. Luke's Hospice for their care of Curt during his illness, as well as the numerous friends and co-workers who provided the family with much needed help, support and comfort during this difficult time.

A memorial service for friends and family will be held at a private residence in Springfield, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.
