R. Charles White
The memorial service for Robert "Charles" White, 43, of 1 Myers Place, Martinsville, who died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at Morehead Memorial Hospital in Eden, N.C., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Martinsville. Dr. Dennis Knight and Dick Hensley will officiate. Burial will be at Roselawn Abbey.
The family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Services and Crematory from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
White was born in Martinsville on Sept. 15, 1962, to Bob White and Charlene Gesell White.
He graduated from Carlisle School where he won the outstanding senior award, and then graduated from Wake Forest University.
He was owner/operator of Charles White's Chevyland, Oldsmobile, Cadillac. Inc, and was part owner of Sportlanes Bowling Lanes. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Martinsville.
In addition to his parents of Martinsville, he is survived by one brother, Ross Porterfield White of Martinsville.
