Harold Gregg Vautilburgh, a June 1968 graduate of Texas Tech, was commissioned in the Air Force as Airlift Squadron of the combat zone in Southeast Asia. He flew a high performance C141 jet transport. After his service, he opened a gym in Seattle, Wash. and competed in body building. He lived in Arizona and Tennessee for a while until returning to Lubbock in January 2011. He has been ill for this same time. Gregg was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Vautilburgh; father, Harold Vautilburgh; his grandparents, Victor and Lottie Voegeli; and his cousin, JoMae Matheny. He is survived by a sister, Gail Branum and husband, Johnny of Lubbock; nephews, Michael Branum of Lubbock and Matthew Branum of Keller, Texas; and cousin, Judy Darr and husband Tom of Colorado. He will miss his great friends, Martin Gouterman of Seattle, Wash. and Jeanie Alsup of Nashville, Tenn. Graveside services with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at City of Lubbock Cemetery with Rev. Bruce Cotton officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
