Fletcher F. Taylor Jr., 95, of Dallas, TX, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Community Hospice of Fort Worth. He will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and kind, giving personality. He was born on May 3, 1917 to the late Fletcher Floyd Taylor Sr. and Katie E. Jones Taylor in Dallas, TX on a family-owned farm which is now Love Field. He was a descendant of a Confederate soldier and his grandmother was a Bachman, one of the first families to settle in the Dallas area. He joined the US Army Air Corps in 1940 where he served in the China-Burma-India Theater. Survivors include his daughter, Linda Mari of Dallas, son, David Taylor and his wife, Sammie of Euless, grandchildren Stefani Thornhill and husband Sam and great-granddaughter Sara of Lewisville, grandson Chad Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Marjorie Wallace Taylor in 2007. Special thanks to Parsons House Preston Hollow for their diligent care and support of Fletcher during his stay with them. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX. Funeral Services will be held on November 6, 2012 at 10:00 am at Cochran Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX.
