Gloria J. Thompson, age 82, of Canton passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2012 at Oakhill Manor Care Center in Louisville, OH. She was born in Canton on February 7, 1930 to the late Harry and Beryl (Bice) Ecrement. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Thompson; son, Robert J. Thompson, son, Gary Thompson; and brother, Myron Ecrement. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Solomon of Canton; brothers, Jack (Judy) Ecrement of St. Louis, Missouri, Ronnie (Betty) Ecrement of Canton, Duane (Cona) Ecrement of Louisville, OH; daughter-in-law, Marylee Thompson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; grandchildren, Christopher Solomon, T.J. (Denise Holcomb) Solomon, Robin (Ed) Evans, Kelly (Dave) Homan; great grandchildren, Brooke Solomon, Ethan Solomon, Amanda (Jason) Fishel, Kyle Foster; and great-great grandchildren, Hailey Elisabeth Fishel and Mairyn Alexandra Fishel. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6-8pm at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am on Friday, November 2, 2012 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
