Died, at the home of his son, S. W. Osborn (Ellwood W.) on Hennepin avenue, where he has been for some weeks, Mr. Joseph E. Osborn, aged sixty-four years. Some six years ago Mr. Osborn was a resident of Dixon, but returned to home in Pennsylvania, from whence he came in feeble health recently. He did at 6:50 last evening, it was supposed from cancer of the stomach. An autopsy was held this morning by Doctors Blackman, Brown and Miller to ascertain beyond doubt the cause of his disease. Friends will gather at the house at 2 p.m. tomorrow, and the funeral services will be conducted by his comrades of the G. A. R. Rev. H. C. Leland will preach the funeral sermon at 2:30 in the Baptist church.
Mrs. Andora Smyth of Palmyra is a daughter of the deceased.
