Hiram Bacon married Charlotte Matilda Dean on Nov 6 1834 in Skaneateles, Onondaga, New York. Hiram & Charlotte's known childern.. Charles Dean Bacon 1840-1890, Leonard C. Bacon 1838-1902, Pheobe Anne Bacon 1841-1856, Flora Bacon 1842, William Bacon 1843-1849 & Marvin Hiram Bacon 1848-1918

In his wife's obituary it is stated that..her husband came to Kenosha county in 1835, they were living on a farm in Pleasant Prairie in Kenosha county until 1852, then moved to Somers in Kenosha county were they lived until 1883. They moved to Red Willow county with their sons, where her husband died July 4, 1885. She returned with her son Marvin April 1893 and was living with him at the time of her death.

In the obituary of son Leonard, says that his father Hiram was an agent for the Western Emigration Company in 1835 and that his father brought his wife and children from New York to live in Kenosha.

The Western Emigration Company was an investment company organized in Hannibal New York that sold shares to raise money to build a settlement in the West known as Kenosha in Wisconsin.. his cousin Hudson Bacon was one of the founders..

According to the ancestral file on familysearch Hiram is either buried in Wisconsin or Nebraska.. he might be in the family plot with his wife.
