Mary Kate Hutton, 80, of Greeneville, died Friday at Takoma Adventist Hospital.

Mrs. Hutton was retired from The Austin Co.

Those close to her knew her as a devoted Christian. They said she was loved by all who knew her.

She was the widow of Hal Herbert Hutton.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law: Hal R. Hutton and Larry Mike Hutton, both of Greeneville, and Dan R. and Sandra Hutton of Greenville, Ala.; two daughters and sons-in-law: Patricia and Donald "Bill" Baines and Mary Frances and Al Jackson, all of Greeneville; eight grandchildren: Hal Lee Hutton of Johnson City, Debra Varner, Chris Baines, Robert Lee Hutton, Terrie Teal, and Timmy Foshie, all of Greeneville, Sandra Conley of Kingsport, and Crystal Dickson of Morristown; 12 great-grandchildren: Tommy Hutton, Scott Hutton, Shana Lynn, Mathew Baines, Logan Richie, and Rhiannon Teal, all of Greeneville, Rachel Conley of Johnson City, Shila Rose Dickson and Haley Dickson, both of Morristown and Stan Lee Hutton, Daren Setser, and William Setser; a brother and sister-in-law: Erwin and Jean Gosnell of Jonesborough; a sister: Wilma Woods of Missouri; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece: Lou Nell Johnson.

She was a daughter of the late Major and Martha Tweed Gosnell and was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Carol Ann Baines and Larry Mike Hutton Jr.; six brothers: Johnny Gosnell, Garfield Gosnell, Hubert Gosnell, Lloyd Gosnell, Charlie Gosnell, and Gail Gosnell; and two sisters: Helen Gosnell and Lucy Maude Tweed.

The family received friends from 6-9 Sunday evening at Jeffers Mortuary and will receive other times at the homes of Mary Jackson and Patricia Baines.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the mortuary chapel with interment in River Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Gibson and the Rev. Edward Haney will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Gosnell, Clayton Gosnell, Charles Gosnell, Chris Baines, Tim Foshie, and Mark Teal.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Bridges, Dr. Donald Volmer, Dr. Charles Montgomery, the Rev. Jimmy Fillers, the 3rd floor nursing staff at Takoma Adventist Hospital, and the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville
