NORMAN BURGER, 74, DIED SUNDAY
Norman Burger, 74, resident of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday in the Wieland Nursing Home. He was
ill for some time. Prior to his retirement
Mr. Burger was associated with General Foods, Inc. Born in the Town of Clinton, Mr. Burger
was the son of the late Frederick and Carrie Mosher Burger. He resided in Clinton Township
the greater part of his life. Mr. Burger was a member of Warren Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons,
Schultzville and a member of the Congregational -Christian church, Schultzville. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Florence Ostrander Burger; two daughters, Mrs. Homer Sleight and Mrs. Eugene Purdy, Poughkeepsie; a son Frederick C. Burger, Poughkeepsie; and seven grandchildren, Mrs. Leona
Bartholomeo, Watertown, Mass.; Mrs. Shirley Wilkinson, Poughkeepsie; Robert Purdy, Camp Stone, Cal., Sandry, Ronald, Gerard, Carl Burger, of Poughkeepsie. Funeral services were conducted at the Schoonmaker Chapel, 73 South Hamilton St., at 2 o'clock, Tuesday. burial was in the Schultzville Cemetery. Warren Lodge of Masons conducted services at the Chapel at 7:30 o'clock
