William C. (Bill) Dyer of Issaquah, died on October 5, 2012 in Issaquah. He was 91 years old.

Mr. Dyer was born on April 1, 1921 in Wandsworth, London, England, son of Walter and Jane Dyer. He was raised in Wandsworth and graduated from Sir Walter St. John's Grammar School for Boys in Battersea, London.
He joined the Territorial Army and joined the Royal Fusiliers at the outbreak of World War II, and soon after transferred to the Royal Engineers, where he installed the first radar beacons around the U.K. for the RAF fighters and bombers. He met his wife Doreen (Vicky) while in the army and they married in Willand, Devon in 1945.

After the war he joined British South American Airways, which eventually became British Airways. In 1958 BA sent him to Douglas in California, and later to Seattle, where he was the British Airways Senior Representative at Boeing until he retired after a 40 year career with British Airways.

Mr. Dyer loved to camp, hike and fish, and travelled extensively around the world with his wife after his retirement. He especially loved taking his grandchildren on camping and fishing trips.

He is survived by children Pauline Anne Harris of Issaquah, Stephen Paul Dyer of Woodinville, one brother Terry Dyer of Benfleet, Essex, England, and sisters Evelyn Rice and Doreen Fab, of London, England, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
