Morse, who was a chauffeur for the late Harold B.
Johnson, former editor and
publisher of The Watertown
Daily Times, died at 1:25
this morning in Mercy Hospital, where she had been a patient since Nov. 6.
The funeral will be Friday at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Simpson Funeral Home are
Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m.
Surviving are a daughter,
Mrs. John K. (Eleanor M.)
Hart, 646 Academy St.;
three grandchildren, John
W. Hart, at home, Mrs.

Carney, she was married to
William J. Morse of Glens
Falls Jan, 6, 1913, at St. Joseph's Church, Fort Edward.
The couple lived in
Pittsfield, Mass., and at
Glens Falls before coming
to Watertown in 1921.
Mr. Morse first worked
as a truck driver before becoming chauffeur for Horace E. Tyler, local coal dealer. He l a t e r w a s
chauffeur for Mrs. Mary
Adele Webster Rogers, widow of Supreme Court Justice Watson M. Rogers.
Following her death in 1932 he became employed as
chauffeur for the late Mr. Johnson.
Mr. Morse remained with the Johnson family after
the death of Mr. Johnson in 1949, working for Mrs.
Johnson until her death in 1951, and subsequently for
Mr. and Mrs. John B. Johnson. Mr. Morse, also an
employe of The Times, retired in 1954 because of
poor health. He died Dec. 2,
1967, in Mercy Hospital at
the age of 76.
