Elva M. Middleton, age 89, passed away October 31, 2012 in Bellingham.

Elva was born September 23, 1923 in Perry, Iowa to Ernest and Ethel Kibby. Five days after her birth she was brought into her family's church, the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (RLDS). She maintained her unwavering faith throughout her entire life. Elva taught her family patience, wisdom and how to love others. She was known for her smile, hugs, and sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Middleton and her sister Waletta Crusan.

She is survived by her daughters Cheryl (Larry) Sorensen, Diana (Mark) Dodds and Christine Middleton, grandchildren Derek, Dack, Patrick and Jacob, nephew Stephen Crusan, and many loving relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice, 2901 Squalicum Parkway, Bellingham, WA 98225.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 1 PM on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.
