DAISY F. (STANTON) HAZARD-WHITE
January 3, 1929 - January 5, 1999

Daisy F. Hazard-White, 70, of 9 White St., died Tuesday at home. She was the wife of James White. Born in Charlestown, a daughter of the late Courtland C. and Ida (Babcock) Stanton, she lived in Pawtucket for six years. She was a member of the Narragansestt Indian Tribe.

Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters, Evelyn Hazard-Burke in North Carolina, Valeria Carter of San Diego, Calif., Elnora F. White of Pawtucket and Ida E. Rounsiville of Peace Dale; three sons, Albert J. Hazard of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, Lawrence R. Hazard of Pawtucket and Ralph D. Terrel in California; a stepson, William B. Cohen of Franklin, Mass.; three brothers, Charles Stanton of Charlestown, and Philip Stanton and Horatio Stanton, both of Alton; three sisters, Freida Johnson of South Kingstown, Jacqueline Jones in Florida and Mildred Stanton-Babcock of Westerly; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Charles P. and Derek E. Hazard and Alvira A. Hanes, and sister of the late Courtland Stanton, Sarah Tavares and Ida Cumbo.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from Bell Funeral Home, 571 Broad St., Providence, with a service at 11 in Indian Church, Charlestown. Burial will be in Indian Cemetery, Charlestown.
