Nana Mae C. West

COBBTOWN -- Mrs. Nana Mae Carter West, 89, died July 5 at Candler County Hospital.

The Laurens County native lived all of her life in Tattnall County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Cobbtown United Methodist Church and played the organ for many years. She was the widow of James O. Carter and George Alvin West.

SURVIVORS: six sons, Mayo Carter of Las Vegas, Preston Carter of Tallahassee, Fla., James W. Carter of Albine, Texas, Thomas and Wallace Carter, both of Warner Robins, and Earl Carter of Cobbtown; two daughters, Mary Rybezyk of Highland Springs, Va., and Shirley Sapp of Metter; 27 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

VISITATION: 6-9 p.m. today at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, Metter.

FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Sunday at Kennedy-Morgan Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, Metter, burial in Sunlight Cemetery in Cobbtown.
