Rose (Riposo) Musenga, 81, of Syracuse, left this earth after a long and courageous battle while surrounded by her daughters, to be with the Lord and be reunited with her husband Lefty and daughter Stacy. Rose was lovingly referred to as "Aunt Rosie, the best cook in town." Rosie was a strong, kind and caring woman who was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister with a heart of gold. Her greatest pleasure in life was cooking for family and friends. Her baby brother Joe quotes, "I see my sister as a very giving person. She always allowed me to have the largest number of any of our treats; through her behavior she taught me to be very sensitive to other people's feelings." Rose is survived by her daughters, Rosina D'Eredita, Jakki Bodah and Lynn Musenga; her brothers, Tony Riposo and Joe (Jo-Ann) Riposo; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Carter Funeral Home, 1604 Grant Blvd., Syracuse. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
