Anna Renata Reinke Heyen was born to John Frederick
Reinke and Anna G. Blanken Reinke on July 18, 1915 at
Deshler, Nebraska and passed away March 24, 2008, at the
Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, Nebraska at the age of
92 years, 8 months and 6 days.
She was one of six children in the family.

Anna was baptized on August 8, 1915 in the Immanuel
Lutheran Church at Deshler by Pastor H.F. Eggert.
She was (Confirmed March 24, 1929 at the Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Deshler by Pastor H. F. Eggert.
Her confirmation verse was Matthew 6:33. Anna attended
the Immanuel Lutheran Parochial School through the
8th grade.

She was married to William George Heyen on April 23,
1950 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler by Pastor H. F. Krohn and to this union three children were born; a
daughter Irene, and two sons, Charles and Wayne.

The family moved to Chester in 1950 and in 1954
relocated to Geneva where they joined Grace Lutheran
Church. Anna enjoyed being a homemaker working around
the home. She also taught Sunday school for 11 years and
did baby sitting for many years.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill"
Heyen, her parents; John and Anna; sister Johanna and
husband E.L. Quinn; brothers; John Reinke & wife Laura,
Herman Reinke, and wife Alma, Arthur Reinke and wife
Gleanys and Walter Reinke.

She is survived by a daughter; Irene and husband
Sam Skaaland of Detroit, Lakes, MN.; Sons; Charles Heyen
and wife Joyce of Davenport, NE and Wayne Heyen and
wife Cathy of Lincoln, NE.; by 11 grandchildren and
7 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the Grace Lutheran
Church on March 28, 2008 with Pastor Matt Zimpelmann
officiating.

Cherie Domeier accompanied the congregation who sang
"What a Friend We Have In Jesus", "Lord Take My Hand and Lead Me", "In The Garden", and "I know my Redeemer Lives".

Casket Bearers were Gary Reinke, Galen Reinke, Ernest
Heyen, Larry Heyen, Danny Domeier and John Riel.
Honorary casket bearers were Ben Skaaland, Dan Skaaland, Joel Skaaland, Shane Heyen, Aaron Heyen, Brady Otto and Craig Vyhnalek.

Interment was in the Deshler City Cemetery with Farmer &
Son Funeral Home in charge of arrngements.
Memorials are directed to the family.
