Topeka State Journal Saturday 27 May, 1972, pg. 19:

MANKATO - Services for Alton Dale Kale, 53, Mankato, will be Tuesday at Kramer Funeral Home here. Mr. Kale died Thursday while working for the Soil Conservation Service. He was driving a truck near Esbon in Jewell County when he apparently suffered a heart attack.

He was born in 1918 at Hiawatha. He moved to Mankato in 1955. He had been employed by the Soil Conservation Service for 33 years.

Mr. Kale was a member of the United Methodist Church , Lions Club and Veterans of Foreign Wars, all at Mankato.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ruby Kale of the home; 2 sons, James kale, Pasadena, Calif., and Steven Kale, Lincoln, Neb. a daughter, Elaine Kale, Guadalajara, Mexico; 2 brothers, Fred Kale and Wayne Kale, both of Hiawatha; and a grandchild.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at Claytonville Cemetery near Hiawatha.
