Services for Dorothy Sanders, 89, Cerulean, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Revs. Reed Shepherd and Gary Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Cerulean Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 this afternoon at the funeral home.
She died at 12:23 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Bradford Heights in Hopkinsville of natural causes.
A native of Caldwell County, she was born Sunday, July 17, 1921, the daughter of the late Dewey Ward and Daisy McKinney Keller. She was retired as a nurse's aide at Shady Lawn Nursing Center where she worked for 35 years. She was a member of Cerulean Baptist Church.
Her husband, Louis Edward "Toodlum" Sanders, died in 1984. A son, Bobby Sanders, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Gary Sanders, Cerulean, four grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.
