Born March 13, 1917, in Pekin to John A. and Mary Maybelle Dean Wieburg, she married John Stanley Cox on Sept. 14, 1946, in Pekin. He died Nov. 24, 1973.
She also was preceded in death by eight sisters and brothers.
Surviving are one son, Robert Lowell of Dunlap; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary Lou) Gauwitz of Peoria; three grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Trent of Havana and Mrs. Ralph (Margaret) Brown of Oldsmar, Fla.
She was an office worker for the Peoria Journal Star, retiring April 5, 1974. She was a member of First Christian Church in Creve Coeur.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
