B. EDMUND dies at 89

Bessie M. EDMUND, 89, died this morning at 7:30 a.m. at the Fairfield Hotel. She had been in failing health for several months.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Behner Funeral Home with burial in Packwood Cemetery.

Mrs. EDMUND was born December 12, 1889 at Bushnell, Ill. the daughter of L.L. and Amanda DALLAM WILSON. She was married February 18, 1915 to Carl G. EDMUND in Burlington. He died away January 28, 1968.

Most of her married life was spent in the Packwood area. She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Homer WIGGINS, Mrs. Parley SMALL and Mrs. Wray WOOLUMS, all of Packwood and Mrs. Donald STURGELL, Wichita, Kans.; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one sister, Irma MILLER of Fairfield. Twin sons preceded her in death.

CARL EDMUND's GOLDEN WEDDING. Bessie WILSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. WILSON, and Carl EDMUND son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles EDMUND, were married Feb. 18, 1915, at the Methodist parsonage in Burlington. The Rev. Peppe officiated at the ceremony. Have resided on the farm south of Packwood, originally the home of EDMUND's parents, for the full 50 years of their marriage. He actively farmed the land until his retirement in 1949. They are the parents of four daughters, Mrs. Homer (Helen) WIGGINS, Mrs. Parley (Virginia) SMALL, Mrs. Wray (Kathryn) WOOLUMS of Packwood, and Mrs. Donald (Jennie Jo) STURGELL of Wichita, Kan. Twin sons died in infancy. There are 10 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren. All plan to be present....
