Hall Service Is At Hickory Grove

The body of Pvt. Charles B. Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs. George L. Hall of Kenna, arrived at the Parsons Funeral home in Ripley yesterday afternoon and the funeral service will be held at the Hickory Grove church at Kenna, Easter Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Rev. Roy W. Fisher officiating and the Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct their ritualistic service at the grave in the church cemetery.
Pvt. Hall, who fought with General Patton's forces in the invasion of Europe, was wounded at Verviers, Belgium on Sept. 9, 1944 and died the following day. He was serving as as a radio technician in a Tank division.
Survivors in addition to the parents are four brothers, George of Charleston, and Elmer, James and Michael Hall, all of Kenna and five sisters, Mrs. Frances Sheets of Dexter, Ohio, Mrs. Delphia Lanham of Charleston, Mrs. Virginia Miller and Jane and Joan Hall all of Kenna.

Charles' body was moved from Hickory Grove (Church) Cemetery to the Fairplain Cemetery in Jackson County, where he rests beside his parents George and Christina.
