Palmer "P.M." Miller Breeding – 88 of Knoxville went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 2nd. As he passed, he was peaceful, free of pain, and was surrounded by his family who love him dearly. He will be sorely missed by his family and all that have known him. P.M. was born on December 23, 1923 and attended Whitesburg High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Mabel Breeding. The two were married on May 31, 1941 and recently celebrated their 71st anniversary. After he was married, he lived in Russellville, Oak Ridge, and then settled in the Karns community. They resided in Karns for the next 60 years where they were members of Grace Baptist Church. They moved to Morristown in 2007.
P.M worked in and owned three different barber shops in Oak Ridge for 57 years. His son Jimmy now owns the Arcade Barber Shop in Oak Ridge. He was a 32-degree Mason and enjoyed rabbit hunting with his beagles, working in his garden, and farming. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather that loved the Lord and loved his family. His legacy will live on through his family who aspire to become as great of a person as he was.
P.M. is survived by his wife, Mabel Breeding, is brother Cawood Breeding, his son Jimmy Breeding and wife Betty, his daughter Pamela Barnes, his grandchildren Angela Breeding, Valarie Kagle and husband Dale, Ian Barnes and wife Tabitha, Tony Barnes and wife Cindy, and his great grandchildren, Adam, Cody, Ethan, Emily, Isaac, Abigail, Nathan, and Silas.
Arrangements are being made to conduct a memorial service at Highland West Memorial Funeral Home 9913 Sherrill Lane Knoxville TN37932 on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Proceeded by a receiving of friends at 12:00 pm. A short burial service will take place at Oak Ridge Memorial Park following the service. Condolences may be left at highlandmemorialparks.com
