Fred passed away on Nov. 2, 2012, in Tyler.
Fred Leland Crone was born Nov. 5, 1944, in Mineola to the late Fred Warren Crone and Lela Mae Hammon Crone. He had lived in Chandler for 18 years, moving from Van. He was retired from Goodyear Tire Co. Fred and Judy were very involved in building and sustaining Christ Central Church in Lindale, where they were members. He and Judy owned Neches Valley Farm, where they raised Brangus cattle. He was a hay farmer and enjoyed his farm equipment. He also loved football. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Crone.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Crone of Chandler; three daughters, Shanna Watson and her fiancé Andrew Threndyle of Greenville, Wendy Crone of Austin and Cristi Duvall and her husband Eric of Brownsboro; brother, Charles Wayne Crone of Mineola; sister, Chloe Dean Kelley of Mineola; mother- and father-in-law, Dick and Lynda Fowler of Tyler; six grandchildren, Quincy Cooper and husband Luke, Kassidy Watson, Ty Benson, Brooke Benson, Brandon Williams and Drew Duvall; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
