Martin Connolly, of this village, an employee of the New York Central Railroad Company, was instantly killed near the little tunnel north of Peekskill Tuesday morning. He was a flagman with headquarters at the tunnel. He stepped off the north bound train and stepped In front of train 68, due here at 11.55 a. m.

The body was brought to Peekskill and Coroner Johns notified. He gave permission to have the body removed to the undertaking establishment of MacPhillips & Vaughey.

Mr. Connellv had resided in Peekskill about forty years. His wife, Bridget Connolly, died Nov. 28. 1907, from the effects of burns received while burning leaves two weeks previous. Thev have no children. Mr. Connelly is survived by one sister. Mary Moore, who resides in Wisconsin.
