William died in 1918. We next find Sarah living with Lewis in 1920 Census Live Oak Co. Texas under the name W.P. Keene. Louis had lost his wife and Sarah was helping him with the children.
Sarah disappears after 1920 and shows back up again living with her daughter May and Josh Cox in the 1940 Census as Sarah Jane Bass. The census also show she had been in the same place for the last five years. Have not been able to find what Bass she married or when. She is buried in her daughter May and Josh Cox family plot.
