Emmett R. Rinehart, 63, well known Perry County resident, died suddenly at his home in Marion Thursday, July 23, 1953 from a second heart attack.

Funeral services were held at 4:00pm Saturday from the Marion Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul A. Duffey, church pastor, and the Rev J.N. Triplett, pastor of Siloam Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Marion Cemetery.

A native of Perry County, Mr. Rinehart was the son of the late Rufus Rinehart and Donia Washburn Rinehart. He had spent his entire life in the country where he was engaged in farming. For the past number of years he had been with the Progressive Chevrolet Company in Marion as a salesman.

He is survived by his wife, Anna L. Fondren Rinehart; three sons, Sam Rinehart, Robert D. Rinehart and Wheeler Rinehart, all of Marion; four daughters, Mrs. James Plummer of Marion Junction, Mrs. C.L. Cooke of Salina, Kansas, Mrs. Clyde Butler of Selma and Nancy B. Jeter of Houston, Texas.

Pallbearers were D.B. Rogers, James Rinehart, Grady Rinehart, Jr., Woodfin Rinehart, Jr., Clayton Rinehart and Elisha Rinehart, Jr.
