Harry James Fincher CHARLOTTE - Harry James Fincher, 69, died Friday, October 26, 2012, at CMC-University. Born in Union County on November 25, 1942, he was a son of the late John Henry Fincher and Mary Lois Wooten Fincher. Mr. Fincher retired from Concrete Supply after 38 years of service and had worked the past ten years as the canteen manager at the VFW Post 9488. He enjoyed traveling, playing golf and will be remembered for his devotion to his family, hard work ethic, and dedication to his job. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, Sunday, October 28th at Wilson Funeral Service, 5301 Albemarle Rd. At Mr. Fincher's request, graveside services at Siler Presbyterian Church Cemetery will be private. Mr. Fincher is survived by a son, Darryl Fincher (Karen), of Oakboro; a daughter, Crystal Fincher Hildreth, of Wadesboro; his former wife of 42 years, Gloria R. Fincher; three brothers, Luke Fincher (Judy), of Cahokia, IL, Rick Fincher (Cathy), of Mint Hill, Donnie Fincher (Christine) of Indian Trail; a sister, Betty Stover, of Charlotte; a brother-in-law, Houston Craig, of Charlotte; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fincher was preceded in death by a son, James Dale Fincher and a sister, Shirley Craig.
