Mrs. ALICE VIRGINIA HAMMOND died Wednesday evening at the Williamsport Nursing Home, aged 82 years. A daughter of the late Silas and Mary Drenner, she was a lifelong resident of Sharpsburg and a member of the Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by sons, Joseph and Reichert Hammond; daughter, Mrs. Cora Snavely, all of Sharpsburg; brothers, Sherman Drenner, Keedysville, and Luther Drenner, Hagerstownl sisters, Mrs. John Hammond, Mrs. Charles Renner and Mrs. Walter Winks, all of Sharpsburg; Mrs. Jesse Clipp, Boonsboro, and Miss Mary Drenner, Baltimore; and four grandchildren.

Services were held at the Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren; interment was in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
