John Agena, aged about 60 years, died at his home west of Sterling Monday, after a long and severe illness. Mr. Agena was a respected citizen, and has lived in Johnson county for 20 years. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Fimhaber from the Lutheran church yesterday, and the remains interred in the cemetery near the church. THE RECORD proffers condolence to the sorrowing relatives and friends.

In the name of God. Amen.
I, Jann Gehden Agena, of the town of Sterling, in the County of Johnson, in the State of Nebraska, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and mindful of the uncertainties of this frail and transitory life, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be My Last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say:
First: I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my estate.
Second: I give and devise to my wife, Gescke Agena, the following described premises, situated in the County of Johnson, State of Nebraska. To wit: The South half (1/2) of the South West Quarter (1/4) of Section twenty-one (21) Town six (6) Range nine (9), containing eighty (80) acres more or less according to Government Survey thereof, together with the buildings and improvements thereon.
Third: I give and devise to her all the house furnitures, all the implements, all the cattle, horses and hogs.
Fourth: I do nominate and appoint my friend, Heinrich Diedrichs of Sterling, Nebraska, to be the Executor of this, My Last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of December A.D. 1902.
