He spent many years of his life in Harpers Ferry section and was well known there. In recent years he had resided at Rosemont, near Brunswick, Md. He was a member of the Camp Hill Methodist Church and the Virginia Lodge No. 1 of Odd Fellows of Harpers Ferry. For many years he carried mail from the Harpers Ferry post office to nearby Maryland points. For a time he was a public school teacher. He retired several years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie (Moore) Rohr and one daughter, Mrs. Aileen Rhodes, Silver Spring, Md.; one granddaughter; one sister, Miss Grace Rohr, Washington; one brother, Earl of Los Angeles.
Services were held at the Eackles Funeral Home, Harpers Ferry; burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg.
