Catherine I. Hoskie, 81, formerly of Big Mine Run, died Friday at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in Lavelle, March 21, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Catherine Chubb Lute.
She married John Hoskie, who preceded her in death on April 17, 1985.
Catherine attended Ashland schools.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Hoskie, and a granddaughter, Patricia Ann Nork.
Surviving are five daughters, Roseann Bird and her fiance, Gren Mensinger, Ringtown, Kathleen Hummel and her husband, Dennis, Kulpmont, Patricia Nork and her husband, Frank, Shenandoah Heights, Eileen Buehl and her husband, Thomas, Lavelle, and Linda Ennis, Lost Creek; two sons, Charles Hoskie, Ashland, and Joseph Hoskie and his wife, Mary, Mahanoy Plane; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Clair Lute, Boyertown.
Religious services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Joseph J. Stutz Inc. Funeral Home, 40 S. Market St., Mount Carmel, with Joseph J. Stutz III as supervisor and the Rev. Francis Karwacki officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Centralia
