Gertrude Dunn Farrer, 94, Fayetteville, died May 3, 2001. She was born April 16, 1907 in Fayette County, the daughter of Henry Clay and Susie Alford Dunn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond B. Farrer. She was retired from the Fayette County school system after 30 years service and retired as a Fayette County Tax Commissioner in 1969. Services were at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Ellis, the Rev. Jack Overton and the Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Interment was at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville.
Survivors include Ruth Jones, Nettie Jones, Barbara Kerlin, Boots Ashworth, Douglas Jones, Kenny Dunn and Ashley Jones, all of Fayetteville, Becky Smith, Griffin and Deborah Schuff, Crawfordville.
